Goodbye to Love
After seven splendid years, Nolan Love is leaving the Richter Scales. Some of you may remember a brief, shining moment at the very beginning of the group when both Nolan and his brother, Fayvor, lent their honeyed voices to the still-developing Richter Scales sound. We feel fortunate to have had both of them involved with the group over the years.Nolan says:
I have scratched my a cappella itch, and so it is time for Something Else. I frankly have no concrete idea of what that may be, but please do know that if I wanted to continue singing a cappella, it would certainly be with all of you...
The Richter Scales chapter in my life is one that I am bound to reread fondly for years to come. You have a glorious future ahead of you, and I am excited to see where your collective energy and creativity take you... Long Live The Richter Scales!
Thanks to Mark, we have a couple of historic photos. Here's Nolan during the very first round of Richter Scales auditions, ever, in July of 2000:
And here he is a few months later, at our first gig:

We'll miss you, Nolan!
