DMCA Takedown of "Here Comes Another Bubble"
This morning, our "Here Comes Another Bubble" video was removed from YouTube under a DMCA takedown order.
Some folks have left comments saying we should acknowledge all the people who created the images we used in the video. Good point. We will go through the video and cite every source, and wherever possible, we will credit the original photographer. Once the list is up, if you see a mistake in it, please let us know, and we'll do our best to rectify it.
We don't know who filed the takedown or why they did so without first talking to us, but we would like to talk about what it would take for you to cancel your request.
It probably was impolite not to offer full credit in the video in the first place. But those who called us thieves and jokingly threatened us with physical violence were also being impolite. Let's keep this civil, folks.
Thanks again to everyone who has left comments on this issue or on the video. We appreciate your feedback and are learning from it.

I think you very polite and it is unfortunately this has happened to you.
You did a great job with the video, it was an instant viral, spreading across the net like wildfire.
I hope you can fix the complaint issue. Don't mind the pebbles some short-sighted people throw at your road, hoping you will trip, because you will overcome them, and in time, it is folks like you that learn to fly.
By the way, I saw your video at Thoughtware.TV and enjoyed it very much
I hope you make more
I hope you're filing a counter-notice and preparing to sue for improper takedown posthaste (after ascertaining the nature of the allegedly infringing material, of course).
Excellent parody, by the way.
Dunno if you will just remove this comment but I wanted to leave you with a link to a comment I made to the photographer in question - rather than just repeat myself all over again.

Hi there,
The video and the song is really awesome. It's a pity that youtube removed it. Anyway, my friends and I do enjoy it very much. Thanks a lot!
All the best and merry Xmas in advance!
I really enjoyed your video! I'm sorry it got taken down. I think if you hadn't make fun of the founders of Google who owns youtube, it might have still stayed up there. Bleagh.
heh at least i got a copy of the video downloaded :)
Sorry it was taken down. Great parody (surely "fair use" is not yet dead?) and I ordered the CD after watching it. You guys rock.
How would you feel Lane was to ste--...I mean "fair use" your songs and add her photos to them. And upload them to Youtube. I wonder how would you like them apples.
or, would it be okay for me to take your "music" and make a funny video of my friends?
It cracks me up when artists take from other artists without at least a credit. I know you would be pissed if that was reversed.
hypocite = sin.
Robert. This is Brian Rosen, I own the copyright for most of our original songs as well as the arrangements for many of them as well.
You are MORE than welcome to take my songs and use them for your videos. Lane is too.
Credit would be nice, but I promise I won't issue a DMCA takedown if it slips your mind. I swear.
